Guides on Parma Factory Tours are written and reviewed by the site's editorial team: the same small group that maintains the tour shortlist, checks listing data, and keeps the site's factual content current. We are not a large newsroom, and we don't claim credentials we don't hold — no invented tour-guide licenses, no fabricated "certified sommelier" or "official food historian" titles. What we can honestly say is that our editorial focus is narrow and specific: the practical logistics of visiting a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy and a Prosciutto di Parma producer from a base in Parma, researched directly from official sources (the PDO consortia, Trenitalia, and the live Viator listings themselves) rather than copied from other travel sites.
How pages get checked
Every guide page states a published date and a last-updated date. Before publication, factual claims are checked against a named source: train timings against Trenitalia's published schedule, PDO production facts against the Consorzio del Formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano and the Consorzio del Prosciutto di Parma, and tour-specific details (duration, price, cancellation terms) against the live Viator listing on the date noted in the page's "How we verified this" section. When a listing changes after publication, we aim to update the affected page rather than leave outdated figures live.
