A one-day Food Valley itinerary
| Time | Activity |
|---|---|
| Morning | Tour pickup in Parma; transfer to a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy for a guided visit and tasting |
| Midday | Transfer to a Prosciutto di Parma producer; lunch or tasting stop, depending on the operator |
| Afternoon | Guided visit and tasting at the ham producer; return transfer to Parma |
| Evening | Free time in Parma's historic center if the tour ends by early evening |
A two-day version
If you'd rather not compress everything into one long day, split it: Day 1 covers a half-day, single-producer tour in the morning, leaving the afternoon free to explore Parma's historic center — the city was named a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2015, the first Italian city to receive that designation, so there's plenty to see beyond the producers themselves. Day 2 covers the second producer, or a full-day combined tour at a more relaxed pace since you're not also trying to fit in sightseeing.
